Why does life seem so hard?

Hello everyone! I’m glad to see that you made it here today. I hope that you are having a blessed day.  You know there are some days that just go so smoothly.  It’s like you don’t even have to put any effort in at all, and things just turn out.  Have you had days like this recently?  I believe the majority of us do,  Then there is the flip side of the coin.  There are those days that nothing goes right at all no matter what we do.  You feel like giving up, throwing in the towel, going back to bed you know exactly what I mean right? You may think to yourself , “Why do these things always happen to me?”

Am I the only one who has this kind of luck? You may be experiencing a loss of a loved one, financial difficulties, problems in your job, or automobile problems.  You say to yourself, “Why does life seem so hard?”  I am a good person.  I do good things.  Why me?  The question that we need to be asking ourselves is “Why not me.”  I can hear it already, “Matt you flipped your lid.”  First of all I don’t believe in luck.  I believe that everything happens for a specific reason.  That we are exactly in the right place at the right time that God intended.  Nothing happens in Gods world by mistake.  Do you believe this?  In John 16:33 Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world”

I do believe that you are a good person and that you do good things, but you heard what Jesus had to say.  So I think that we should come to the realization that good or bad we are going to have trouble.  Is that a fair statement?  You see that it is through faith in Jesus that we can get through those bad days.  Just knowing that Jesus is there with me no matter what. Even if I cant see him physically, that is enough for me.  I believe a lot of our trouble is brought on by the devil as well.  Especially when we are working for God, and are in His will.  The devil will use our circumstances against us.  For instance if I blow a tire going down the highway.  He will use that to tell me how much I am a looser for being so broke I cant afford to put tires on my car.  He will tell me look now you are going to be late.  Look Matt you messed the whole day up!

Lets stop right there.  Jesus is sufficient in all circumstances!!  He is the one I pray to throughout the day for strength, wisdom, knowledge, and provision.  When I hear the devil start in I rebuke him right away.  “Get behind me Satan.  You have no place here.  You have already been beaten!  Jesus is the winner!  He sealed your fate when he rose from the grave.  Then I go to God in prayer and thank him for always being there with me.

No matter if it is a flat tire, a death in the family, poverty, job issues, Jesus is ready and willing to help you through those situations!  As our faith in Jesus grows so does our want to please him.  We will lean on him more and more.  Those problems that we have been trying to handle on our own and having no success with. We can give them to God.  Just go to God in prayer and talk to him as you would talk to a friend and ask for his help.  Then we can get out of that self pity mode of why me to why not me.  We can use that negative situation and turn it into a positive one.  All things are possible through Christ Jesus.

No matter where you are in life be ready for the trouble to come.  You can do this by developing a relationship with Jesus.  Go to him in prayer throughout the day.  God will hear your prayers.  He loves prayers.  Start trusting God more and more.  Then when those times of trouble come you will be able to say Why not me? instead of Why me?

I hope that you have enjoyed this post today!  Just remember that Jesus loves you and so do I.  ————Your brother in Christ———————————–Matthew J.Leiker
